31ST SEASA 2007 – KUALA LUMPUR

Greetings and regards from Organizing Chairman of the 31st South East Asia Shooting Championships 2007 to all Members of the South East Asia Shooting Association.

We are glad to inform you that the National Shooting Association of Malaysia (NSAM) will organize the 31st South East Asia Shooting Championships 2007 to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The date will be from 21st - 30th August, 2007.

We would like to invite your officials and team to participate in these coming championships. For your information, year 2007 is the Visit Malaysia Year and 31st August is the National Day of Malaysia. You will witness a lot of celebration going on in the city of Kuala Lumpur.

Thank you and we hope to see you and your team in Kuala Lumpur.

GENERAL INFORMATION


Introduction

The National Shooting Association of Malaysia will organize the 31st South East Asia Shooting Championships 2007 in the National Shooting Range Subang, Malaysia. The competition will be held from 21st to 30th August 2007.

Participation

Participation of shooters are as follows :-

i)              Team                      -               One (1) team per country (Team of 3)
ii)             Individual              -               Any number.
iii)            Medals                   -               Individual
Medals will be awarded to three shooters of different participating team with the highest scores. (After final competition in Olympic Disciplines).

Team
Medal will be awarded to the first three participating teams.

Shooting Ranges

All competition will be held at the National Shooting Range Subang, situated 25km west of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Numbers of lanes are as follows:-

10m range (Indoor)

Total of 40 positions target trolley system

25m range

Total of 10 groups of 5 targets each

Spieth Olympic Rotary Target System

50m range

Total of 50 positions with Gehmann Box Target Changer

Clay Target Range

Total of 2 combined Trap, Skeet & Double Trap ranges with Mattarelli Clay Target Machines

Accommodation

Participants are advised to stay at the Official Hotel for the purpose of security and convenience during the Championship. Rates and other conditions are as follows :-

  1. Rooms will be allocated on first come first serve basis.
  2. 50% deposit to secure booking to be made by 1st June 2007 to National Shooting Association of Malaysia who will confirm the booking upon receipt of the 50% deposit. Deposit should be paid into the bank “OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, Kuala Lumpur Main” Account No. 701-1117343 under the name of NATIONAL SHOOTING ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA A/C2.
  3. Full payment on arrival.
  4. One night rate will be charged (according to the number of rooms booked) from the deposit if cancellation is made after 1st August 2007. Balance of deposit will be refunded.

Food

Cost of food will be the responsible of every individual. Foods are available at hotel and shooting range.

Transportation

Transport will be arranged on arrival from Kuala Lumpur International Airport ( KLIA ) to the Official Hotel. Bus service will be available from the official hotels to the shooting range. Participants who stay other than the Official Hotel have to arrange their own transportation.

Families and Supporters

The Organizing Committee wishes to extend a warm welcome to family members / team supporters and look forward to seeing them in the Championships.

Firearms and Ammunitions

  1. All participating countries MUST fill in Form E and return it to the Organiser latest by 1st June 2007. Any changes made must be informed to the organiser as soon as possible. Bring along your local import and export firearm licenses.
  2. Firearms and ammunitions will be stored at the Armoury of the shooting range. Storage of firearms and ammunition at any other venues are PROHIBITED and is a serious offence according to the law of the country.
  3. Popular brand of ammunition will be available at the Shooting Range for purchase.

Shooters Declaration                

Shooters participating in the Championships must sign the “Shooter’s Declaration” form to be submitted to the Organizing Committee in accordance with Art. 3.12.3.2 of ISSF General Regulation.

Port of Entry

All participating countries are advised to book their flight direct to Kuala Lumpur International Airport ( KLIA ). Reception will only be arranged at KLIA for  entry by air.

National Anthem and Flag

All participating countries MUST bring their own National Anthem (cassettes or CD) and two flags for the competition.

Team Managers’ Meeting

The Team Manager Meeting will be held at NSAM Conference Room at 11.00am, on 21st August 2007 (Clay Target) and 22nd August 2007 (Rifle & Pistol).
